Sacred Blue Lotus Skin Care
A good toner is an important part of any beauty regime so we have blended together a few ingredients that are well known for their mildly astringent, hydrating and toning properties and make a lovely Facial Toning Mist.
We love rosewater, not just for the delicate scent, but also for its soothing and regeneration abilities, sacred blue lotus infused witch hazel to tighten pores, remove excess oil & balance oils in skin, bioactive organic cucumber extract for how it cools & calms the skin & organic moringa (called the miracle tree!) infused distilled water. Moringa has been found to possess anti-ageing properties. The effect of free radicals on human skin causes the appearance of wrinkles and makes the skin aged and less resistant to lines. Moringa has excellent cleansing ability which aids in cleaning the skin cells of free radicals and restoring the vitality and youthful complexion of the skin.
What’s in it…
*Rose hydrosol is nature’s toner. A natural astringent, rose helps tighten pores and restore suppleness for a glowy complexion. Unlike conventional alcohol based toners that dry skin out, rose water has excellent emollient properties containing a complex array of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. Rose water balances PH, whilst the natural oils found in roses helps to lock in moisture. The sugars found in rose petals have anti-inflammatory properties, especially ideal for those with sensitive skin to treat redness and irritation.
*Cucumber Extract There are many facets that make cucumber the holy grail for skincare. Cucumber extract is bioactive contains high amounts of Vitamins C & K; and with the same level of hydrogen as naturally found in skin, Cucumber extract is a highly effective at masking and combating dull skin and dark under eye circles. Pantothenic acid, or vitamin B-5, is another compound found in cucumbers that helps your skin retain moisture. The vitamin A, or retinol, in cucumbers fights hyperpigmentation and uneven skin tone because it helps control your skin’s production of melanin.
*Witch Hazel as a bioactive hydrosol is a natural astringent that is extracted from the leaves and bark of the North American shrub Hamamelis virginiana. Its proven record to radically improve skin texture, treat skin ailments like eczema, acne and even varicose veins is owed to the high number of tannins found in the leaves of the plant. Whilst witch hazel actively sweeps away excess oil and sebum, the tannins act to tighten the pores whilst forming a protective skin barrier to lock in moisture. Witch Hazel is also a defender against sun damage. Tannins and polyphenols are known to inhibit the proliferation of melanoma cells, helping to protect healthy skin cells as you age.
*Moringa is known as the miracle tree and for good reason. Moringa leaves contain about 30 antioxidants that contribute greatly towards healthy skin. Moringa oil is highly absorbable and hence helps in delivering these powerful antioxidants to the skin cells. Moringa has moisturizing and nourishing properties and an excellent cleansing ability which makes it an active ingredient in skin care products
*Sacred Blue Lotus is a powerful anti-aging oil and beneficial to all skin types. It provides instant hydration for dry skin as well as balances out oily skin. It works on repairing the damage to proteins (collagen and elastin) in your skin. Sacred Blue Lotus has a divine essence, bringing heightened awareness and tranquility. We infuse many of our oils which we use in our skin care range with the petals and stamens of the flower and also add the therapeutic grade essential oil to each product. Bliss
